(NAPSI)-Study abroad for college students in the United States recently reached an all-time high with more than 190,000 students participating in programs-and the numbers are growing. How should these scholar/explorers prepare for their trips? By hitting the books before they leave home.
That's where "MTV Travel Guides," a new line of guidebooks from Frommer's, comes in. Fresh, edgy and opinionated, the guides are written by college-age travelers, and include no-nonsense, insider advice on everything from staying in the best hostels to booking student tickets online for the Louvre to buying vintage chic for the chillest nightlife.

The line features "MTV Europe" (be sure to check out the flamenco dancing in Seville), "MTV Ireland" (grab a quick surf lesson at beautiful, cliff-lined County Clare), and "MTV Italy" (hit the cities of Perugia and Bologna to meet other student travelers).

Also in the series are guides to Spain, France and England, as well as "MTV Roadtrips U.S.A." for those who prefer to stay a little closer to home.

To learn more or to download podcasts for the books, visit www.frommers.com.
